How To Create Easy Flower Power Mug Rug

Good Friday all, I am soooooooooo excited to share yet another mug rug I call my Flower Power Mug Rug!  It reminds me a my love of bohemian and hippy style.  The Flower Power Mug Rug is the perfect size for coffee mugs or drink glasses.  With all the bright colors I chose are fabulous for Boho!  So you can incorporate these cute mug rugs into your decor.  The Flower Power Mug Rug is created with 100% cotton yarn for easy clean up.  Make sure that you Pin/share it to so you can always find it!

(Yardage needed for one mug rug is approximately 3.6  yrds so as you can see you do not need whole skeins of yarn if you are lucky to have cotton yarn on hand)
Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton, 4-medium weight, (100% cotton, 3.5 oz/100 gr, 180 yds/165 m)

Glowing Orange 1 skein
Bright Citrus Green 1 skein
Curry Yellow 1 skein

Flower worked from center out

Flower Center Color

Rnd 1: ch 2, 10 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to beg sc (10 sc)

Rnd 2: ch 1, 2 sc in same sp as ch 1, 2 sc in every sc around, sl st to beg sc (20 sc)

Rnd 3: ch 1, 2 sc in same sp as ch 1, sc in next sc, *2 sc in next sc, Sc in next sc, rep from * around, sl st to beg sc (30 sc)

Rnd 4: ch 1, 2 sc in same sp as ch 1, sc in next 2 sc, *2 sc in next sc, Sc in next 2 sc, rep from * around, sl st to beg sc (40)Fasten off

Conclusion:

Well now you have completed one Flower Power Mug Rug and you have at least 4 more to create.  So in your opinion  what other color combos would look nice???  I think for a modern setting with pop of color I might do gray, black with a pop of red!  With that the color combos are endless so you can create whatever look you want to with this easy pattern.
