Sunflower Placemat/Wall Hanging Crochet Pattern

Ok you know I love Sunflowers and I am soooo excited to share with you my NEW pattern for Sunflower Placemat/Wall Hanging.  So you will see this pattern is the same just extra steps to complete the wall hanging.  That is why I love this pattern as you can choose which one you want to create.  Of course if you are like me you will create both projects!  He he he…

Wall hanging finishing

Lay sunflower on flat surface place hoop around sunflower see image A-6

A-6

Cut 5 yds of #8 crochet thread.   Tie crochet thread in double knot onto hoop see image A-7

A-7

Thread yarn needle with crochet thread
Run needle thru leaf picot tip from back side to front side, then around hoop 2 times catching next petal tip on 2nd time around,  rep around hoop
Make sure you are keeping crochet thread taunt so petal tips touch hoop see imagesA-8 & A-9, continue around hoop catching each petal tip to end

A-8

A-9

Double knot around hoop at end (do not cut tails of double knots off, tuck them under taunt thread wrap, this side of hoop will be the bottom where fringe hangs so tails will be hidden)
Cut 36” long pieces of any yarn or fiber to match color combo for fringe pieces and attach to bottom 1/3 of hoop

Hanger

ch 60, without twisting ch, sl st to first ch made,  fasten off and weave in ends
