Today I am sharing my NEW pattern for It’s A Wrap Ear Warmers. These are the perfect ear warmers to keep your ear warm and you fashionable this fall/winter season. My yarn of choice is Furl’s Wander Yarn in gorgeous fall colors of Ambrosia, Velvet, Sandbar, Meadow, Thatch, and Mahogany. Who couldn’t use a nice ear warmer this fall???

It’s A Wrap Ear Warmers
Easy level project
In US terms
Designed to fit the average woman’s size head. In addition the pattern is created in
multiples of three so you can adjust your size for a better fit if needed.
Measures 9 x 5 inches laying flat
Supplies:
Furl’s Wander yarn size 4 med weight, (100% acrylic, 3.5 oz/100 g, 120 yds/109 m)
Furl’s Odyssey hook size I/9-5.50 mm
yarn needle
scissors
Gauge:
16 st x 8 rows = 4” square in double crochet
Abbreviations:
BPhdc-back post half double crochet
dc-double crochet
FHDC-foundation half double crochet
hdc-half double crochet
FPhdc-front post half double crochet
rep-repeat
rnd-round
st-stitch
sl st-slip stitch
WDC-wrap double crochet
yo-yarn over
Special stitches:
WHDC-dc in next 2 designated st, dc around the 2 dc just made by (yo, insert hook from
front to back behind and work dc)
Notes:
Chain 1’s do not count as a stitch.
Chain 2 and 3 do count as stitches.
Pattern is worked in the round.
Instructions For It’s A Wrap Ear Warmers
Rnd 1: FHDC 60 in the round or (ch 60 loosely, sl st to join without twisting ch,
ch 2, hdc around)
Rnd 2: ch 1, *FPhdc around st below, Bphdc around next st below, rep from *
around, sl st to FPhdc. 30 each FPhdc/BPhdc
Rnd 3: ch 1, *FPhdc around FPhdc, BPhdc around BPhdc, rep from * around, sl
st to FPhdc.
Rnd 4: rep rnd 3.
Rnd 5: ch 3, *sk 1 st, WDC over next 2 st, rep from * around to last 2 st, sk 1 st,
dc in last st, dc around last dc made and the ch 3, sl st to ch-3. 20 WDC
Rnd 6: ch 3, dc in every st around, sl st to ch-3. 60 dc
Rnd 7: rep rnd 5
Rnd 8: ch 2, hdc in every st around, sl st to ch-2. 60 hdc
Rnd 9: rep rnd 2
Rnd 10-11: rep rnd 3, fasten off/weaver in ends
Decorative Gathering Sleeve
ch 8 Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in every ch across, ch 1, turn. 7 sc
Row 2: sc in blo in every st across, ch 1, turn.
Row 3-10: rep row 2.
Fasten off leaving a 12′ tail.
Finishing Headband
Accordion fold headband and wrap the decorative sleeve with right side facing out around the accordion fold bringing the short ends together. Whip stitch the ends together using the 12″ long tail.
Rotate seam of sleev to back side of accordion fold.
